Confirmed from Binkley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Playground, picnic tables and fountains dot this biking and hiking venue, plus a dirt pump track.
What runners say about Binkley Park
“Very clean, very fun biking, and a nice little spot to hike with your family or furry friends.”
Wow! I'm truly shocked an extravagant 7.2 mile challenging trail is here in Grayson County. For mountain biking it is the best trail I have ever witnessed. It's a great place to bike or run and it's never too crowded. This place is definitely a hidden gem that should be shared with locals and passersby alike.
A fun place to ride. The terrain park is good for beginners. The trail has many levels of difficulty - riders have options. Was very muddy, so climbs were tough.
Was surprised that there was almost no one else there when I went on a late summer weekend in the late afternoon. Great place for taking your mountain bike, especially with the skills park there. I enjoyed walking the trails on foot.
This park is literally the best! Take older, experienced bike riders here or be prepared for a nice hike through the walking trails. If you choose to ride the trails, remember to bring your helmet and only bring those who are experienced riders as the trails have been purposely made small and windy to be a challenge…

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
