Confirmed from Birchard's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Shady, spacious park with a playground, picnic tables, basketball hoops and public restrooms.
What runners say about Birchard
“Public bathrooms are clean and kept well like this park that has road acess on all four sides.”
“Plenty of shade and extremely large and beautiful trees everywhere.”

“Fairly quiet yet can be lively with many basketball games and even open concerts.”
Grew up next to birchard park and now it's wonderful seeing my grandkids run across there. It's a real shame the city is purposing cutting down 55 to 60 trees, putting in driveways and 24 parking lots in the middle of it. I guess the city prefers to have concrete over trees. It's so safe and quiet as it is.
It was a super nice and fresh place to just hang out or walk. It has a great playground for young children to come. All animals are welcome to walk. There are also swings, bathrooms, a tennis court, and a basketball court.
Very spacious for the kids to run and play. Small playground area. Neighborhood seemed nice. We enjoyed it very much, will visit again while here in Fremont.
