We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Black Canyon Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This trail is very beautiful, definitely worth going the distance through the 2nd gate.. Will definitely be back!!
My wife and I were staying in Clarkdale, AZ last February (2019). There was a lot of snow in Sedona making the trails very muddy. So I looked up this trail which is not in the red rocks and closer to us. The road in is not paved but it was passable with our Subaru Outback. There is a parking area at the trailhead.
The waterfall at the end was worth it. We did 12 miles total on this one.
