Confirmed from Blue River Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“Beautiful park with a wonderful walking/biking trail that connects one end of the park to another.”

Worth a visit! One of the nicest, cleanest parks I've been too. Great for walking, jogging, soccer, softball and covered pavilion gatherings. There's a terrific playground and splash pad for kids plus enclosed roomy dog park. Great job Shelbyville!

Blue River Memorial Park is a 186 acre park nestled up to little Blue River on the Northeast side of Shelbyville. The blue River Memorial Park’s center is a very nice memorial to Shelby County Veterans that died in war. The park has a 20 acre quail and butterfly habitat. Nice maintained clean fields and facilities.

I wouldn't come here the day after a severe storm because you run the chance of it being very wet, not something you would have to worry about so often and they do a…

Beautiful park with a wonderful walking/biking trail that connects one end of the park to another. The splash pad looks like it’s a lot of fun, and I hope to check it out soon. I always enjoy my walks there. It’s definitely a family friendly park, with lots of space to relax and play!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
