Cute and clean area to take pictures in a field of bluebonnets. Not the largest area of bluebonnets that I’ve seen, but about half an acre full spread out in a few patches. That may just be due to a drought this year though. Lots of green grass along a paved sidewalk trail that runs underneath power lines.
Nice stroll with the kiddos. The trail extends all the way from East Plano to West Plano about 6 miles So you can basically jump on at any point and should be nice. If you pull it up on maps, it'll take you to west Plano, to the actual section that has a sign that says bluebonnet trail.
It's a wonderful trail. If the weather is good, it's fun to walk around and kids get a big safe space to run and play. Lot of birds give happy vibe. It's the best place to click free photos with blue bonnets in spring. April first to third week is mostly full of blue bonnets. Good for walking, running and biking.
One of the best place to go for the bluebonnets in north texas. Just make sure you are visiting the right week (typically 2-3 week of April). The bluebonnets are right near the parking. The trail is concrete and quiet accessible.
