Walking across Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge at night is a surprisingly special experience. The bridge stretches over the Missouri River, connecting Nebraska and Iowa—you can literally stand with one foot in each state, which makes it a fun and unique photo moment.
🌁Some time In 2019, I was training for a new skill in the Nebraska area. On my time off, I decided to go on a nice stroll to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian bridge. I got to see where Nebraska and Iowa meet. So essentially, I walked from Nebraska on this bridge to Iowa. I actually hung out in Iowa for a little bit.
Crossed early afternoon without a crowd. The entire bridge is 3,000 feet (slightly over a half mile). There are two ramps entrances with the NPS parking lot offering more parking. Nice views on the N/I divide. If you plan to hang there, expect temperature change and wind to increase.
A great pedestrian bridge spanning through Missouri River between Iowa and Nebraska. We were staying in the area for a few days and wanted to see the local sights. We walked this bridge and the views were fantastic. It was great to stand with one foot in Iowa and one foot in Nebraska.
