Confirmed from Bob Newton Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bob Newton Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (164 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 10 mentions

“Visiting in the late fall, there were many oak leaves on the ground and the grass was very wet, but the place seemed well maintained.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“It's also well maintained, has a drinking fountain, picnic tables, porta-potty, tennis/basketball court, and big shade trees.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Very empty and quiet when I visited it on a weekday during my lunch break.”

My son and I visited the park. The park is very clean and well maintained. The only 'issue' I would say is that the parking is limited and on a back alley gravel way that is heavily pot-holed. Tennis / Pickle Ball courts, kids play-ground with slides and swings. A nice area to walk.

Wonderful park, I myself as a child played at this park and I am thrilled my children get to as well, onsite restroom, court, tables, playground, huge grass lot, creek with small bridge just a very comfortable place to let the kids run and relax!

★★★★★ — Daniel , May 2021

Very cute park that I like to walk to while out in the neighborhood! You can play pickleball, basketball, and tennis all on the same court. There is also a swing set! You are never too old to swing.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
