Awesome, clean and well maintained trail. Easy to follow and to do with the kids. Lots of cool little bridges and a few beautiful scenes!
Nice loop trail that is easy to follow. Pretty much all in the shade if you go in the morning, but mostly shaded anyway. Has some rocks and roots that stick up and cause tripping hazards. Took about an hour to walk it.
Parking is available near the dumpsters right near the start of the trail and the campground loops. Mostly wooded but some open areas near the top of the hill. As other have mentioned, go in the mornings if you want the most shade. The picnic table is 0.5 mi in, but about 80 ft up and down to get there.
Nice 2.5 mile trail that skirts the lake at times. Several benches along the way.
