We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Bolsa Chica Wetlands West Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular walking and biking trail where coyotes and rattlesnakes are spotted.

Easy walk. Mostly flat. Scenic views, expansive salt marshes, tidal mudflats, and wildlife. Popular spot for birdwatching, including migratory birds and coastal birds. Walking trails have several observation points. Easily accessible, with well-maintained paths and plenty of opportunities for photography.
Awesome place to come and clear your head. Walk around and enjoy Gods majesty. I've been here many times and it never ceases to amaze.
This TrailHead offers excellent views of the Bolsa Chica and the coast. The last times I have gone, it felt safe. I didn't see any "campers". Maybe they have been helped and put in a shelter. Everyone on the trail is very friendly. There are coyotes, and rattlesnakes.
this trail is great for beginner hikers of all ages. they have public restrooms too. they are located in the parking lot. there isn’t any fee for the parking lot. i saw various signs though that said dogs weren’t allowed so i would keep that in mind. overall very scenic, clean, and lots of nature.
