Confirmed from Bonita Nature Place's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Bonita Nature Place
“There are also nature trails that run along the river and connect to Cullums trail--just beautiful and serene.”
“Plenty of shaded areas, lots of native plants, and even a few animal sightings — including a squirrel and a heron.”

We found this nice little trail and it was great, as we were not looking to walk hours and hours… we started at the Nature Place park and ended in the Bonita Nature Place. Te weather was great and still with so many trees I’d didn’t feel hot at all on March 31, 2024 , yeah, Easter!!
No dogs are allowed, but the area is full of wildlife and quiet beauty. The Learning Center has a restroom and was open when we visited. We met a man named Stan who was super friendly and full of knowledge. The center is only open January through May, Tuesday to Thursday.
Came to check this out after walking Cullum trail. Loved this area, has a gopher tortoise habitat, butterfly garden, a live bee hive you can watch, a bat house, and a learning center. What a great place to check out, very shaded. Next time will bring a lunch and sit outside on picnic benches.
Beautiful and serene natural area. Walking path leads to a flowing stream. Lots of trees and nature.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
