Took the dog over here today. It was our first time. I like that they have steps going all the way down to the cave because it makes for a quick trip if you're not looking to hike a whole lot. The day that we went was super hot so we basically did the stairs and down by the river and back to the parking lot.
This is a full on nature walk. The actual cave is small but you can go inside. Try not touching the top with your head. Lots of moisturizer in there. The trails are beautiful and very walkable. The hardest is the first one after you climb down the stairs to go see the cave. Bring the map to figure out where you are.
What a gem of a park. My family and I have been a few times. It's a very well kept park. The trails are in tip top shape and the majority of them are suitable for all ages. You have some elevation changes, but there are resting benches along the trail. Great place for health and history. Lots of areas for picnicking.
I hit up Google and found this spot, drove out from about an hour and a half. Was really impressed with the area. A couple of cool close by hikes along with close vicinity to Salisbury restaurants. My friend and I thought this was a great location for a hike and would love to come back
