Confirmed from Boston Common's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Storied, nearly 50-acre urban park that hosted British troops during the American Revolution.

🌳 Boston Common & Public Garden is truly the heart of the city and one of the most beautiful spots in Boston. It perfectly combines a sense of history with the calmness of nature.
This is such a beautiful and special spot in the city! No matter the season, it’s always such a nice place to walk around, sit with a coffee, people watch, or just take in the scenery. It’s got so much history, but it also feels very alive and welcoming.
We could have spend several hours hanging out in the area. So much to do and so much to see. Walking the perimeter of the park to see all the statues memorials etc. Walking through the middle to see even more. Loved that there is an off leash dog park for the four legged babies.
