Confirmed from Botzum Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area in Cuyahoga Valley National Park with a towpath, a train station, and ample parking.
What runners say about Botzum Trailhead
“You can head north through the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park or South toward the Metro Parks and Big Bend.”
End of the road for most bike rides goining south from CLE. There is a train ride for 5$ . Great trails for the bikes and all kids.
This is my go to place to decompress and get my couple a week runs in. I love the wildlife and the happy people along the trail. For any newcomers not privy with the trail, don't take up the whole path when walking and keep an eye/ear open for bikes and runners coming from behind.
Very awesome place! Indigo lake is right next to the trail and the train track is just before that. There is a short path that connects a few other trails so that you can hike around the park from this relatively empty parking lot!
Good location to park to get on the canal tow path to bike, walk or run. You also might flag down the train for a trip.

“Seemed to be plenty of parking and there is a restroom.”
