Confirmed from Boughton Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Well to start with ,I did not know this was a private park for Bloomfield & Victor residents with permit! I just read another review stating this! Oops! Well,We were lucky enough to not have anyone approach us while We were there! We brought our dog & hiked the well marked moderate trail.

Beautiful park, worth a visit. From the Town of Victor website:Located in the Town of East Bloomfield, Boughton Park has joint ownership by the Towns of Victor, East Bloomfield, and West Bloomfield. The park consists of ponds (56 acres), trails and wooded areas. It is a popular place for canoeing, kayaking and fishing.

★★★★★ — Hugo , May 2022

A very tranquil park with miles of trails and woods that circumvent two large ponds. There's a kayak and boat launch for convenient access to the water. Picnic areas with a large pavilion are available to enjoy a meal. There's even a small book exchange koisk.

Wonderful quite park that offers scenic views of the two ponds, hardwoods, and standing pines. Pet friendly but please make sure your pet is friendly. Great place for off leash walks when you are alone.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Boughton Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
