Confirmed from Mertensia Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mertensia Park
“Great park, clean and there is green way for walking or biking.”
“Beautiful playground for the kids complete with a GAGa pit for the trendiest game on the playground for kids from little to big.”
“There is a book box is stocked full of various books for all ages.”
Mertensia park is a hidden jewel to me. I frequent it for my own personal walks and meditation, as well as enjoying it with others and for photo shoots. The water is soothing. The flora is beautiful, especially when the Mertensias are in bloom. Just a great place to be overall!
The whole park is very spacious and gorgeous! The hiking trail is accessible from the driveway. There is a book box is stocked full of various books for all ages. A pantry box is there for whoever might need it. The lodge is beautiful, spacious, and clean!
We come here often for many different reasons. There is a playground for the kiddos, wide open fields where they can run freely and safely, there is a beautiful creek that runs behind the park as well as a scenic walking path along side the park.
Very nice small park, great for families with playgrounds, sports courts, and trails. On a fine spring afternoon, it was full of families and young people enjoying the amenities and the good weather, something that we do not have often in Western NY.
