Confirmed from Boulan Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Large park featuring playgrounds, baseball fields and a paved path for runners and bikers.
What runners say about Boulan Park
“The park has well-maintained soccer fields, baseball diamonds, a volleyball court, tennis courts, a track, a picnic area, and a nice playground for kids.”
The best park for Troy residence. Lot of outdoor activity including playing soccer volleyball tennis jogging etc... good for outdoor birthday parties community events. You can even play tennis after dark as they provide lighting options. It’s conveniently located at crooks road between wattles and big Beaver Road
A great public park. I take my dog on walks here all the time. When my son was younger the play area was a magical place for him. Summer time they have concerts, baseball, cricket, tennis, soccer and people just getting together kind of a utopia.
Well maintained park with good parking space, kids activity area and jogging/walking track.
Huge park with baseball diamonds and trails and a wooded area too. They also have a wonderful kiddie playground area too 😘

“Really nice tennis courts with lights and lots of open area for setting up other netted sports.”
Plan your run at Boulan Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
