Such a wonderful place to get outside and see the beauty this side of Texas has to offer. There is plenty of parking with several entrances to the trails. Be mindful that the trails were built and are mostly used by mountain bikers.
I absolutely LOVED this park, it was beautiful. I had been to Memorial Park many times but didn’t know this was here as all. It’s nicely hidden and tucked away. There were lots of paths and options for disc golfers as well as bike riders. I wish there would have been more signage for walkers regarding the distance etc.
Every visit to this amazing park it is a treat! We tried our hand at the disc golf again. Hole # 3 and #4 are right through the woods and that’s fun! This time I noticed a beautiful tree among the others. It is tall but it also stands out because it has vines of leaves grown all over the trunk into the branches.
Love this park. Good for a walk, jog or run. Short hikes possible too. There’s a long dirt track all along the park and some off the path trails take you down close to the Brazos River. If you’re lucky you’ll catch beautiful sunrise or sunsets.
