Confirmed from Breese Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Breese Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (54 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Hidden Cross-Fit Gym! The playground areas (there are two!) aren’t immediately obvious from the parking lot. Walk south along the trail, then go left at the fork, around the woods. You’ll first come across the bouncy vehicles and music instruments.

★★★★★ — Jeremy , Oct 2022

There’s a nice trail with six little ‘stations’ or parks. Each station is for different age groups. A part of the trail goes along Geneseo river.

★★★★★ — Jen , May 2023

We love how you can walk for a little bit, and then there is either play equipment or exercise equipment and then you can walk a little bit more. I would estimate there’s 5 or 6 different play/exercise areas, and the loop trail is just over a mile and almost perfectly flat. Great for the kids !

★★★★★ — Emily , Oct 2025

Lovely park hidden amongst the maze of development homes. Was expecting a short walk, but the trails are a good length. Nice views of the Genesee River, fields, forest. Saw a herd of Whitetail deer enjoying the park, too. Neat little scout shelter. No toilet facilities, but plenty of trees.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Lots of wildflowers and birds, with a nice view of the Genesee River in certain sections.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
