Confirmed from Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (4,786 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 15 mentions

“I honestly thought it was just a small kids’ park, but it turned into one of the most beautiful and relaxing spots we’ve been to.”

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“There are easy walking trails on both sides of the river with excellent views of the salmon swimming upstream from several pedestrian bridges.”

It's a beautiful park on a waterway that is also a salmon run. There are many salmon letters there that are still working. There are plenty of nice pathways with plenty of good overlooks to look at the water and the salmon which are making their way upstream. It's a nice place to go. Very peaceful.

This is a really cool family and kid friendly place. There are easy walking trails on both sides of the river with excellent views of the salmon swimming upstream from several pedestrian bridges. I believe back in the 50's is when they constructed fish ladders so the salmon could navigate upstream.

This park is like an oasis! So easy to forget your in the middle of a city with the trees blocking out the city and the river blocking out the noise. Beautiful and easy walking trail. Seeing the Fish ladder is amazing, and when you get to the hatchery it's all very informative and easy to see/viewable.

★★★★★ — Drita , May 2025

10/10 the view is amazing!!! Great for after lunch walk or morning before/after breakfast. If you're in town stop by and explore a bit, they have water fountains, table sets, public bathrooms and most of the trails are covered in shade not alot of sun exposure.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
