Confirmed from Brunswick Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking, biking and kayaking, plus canoeing are popular activities at this park.
What runners say about Brunswick Nature Park
“Many of the pictures posted of this park show the beautiful views by the river, but most of the park is coastal pine forest.”
For an eastern NC mountain bike trail this was a lot of fun! The “black diamond trail” had a few fun wooden features and bridges, but there was always a path to go around the features if you didn’t want to ride them. Nothing was overly challenging, but overall it’s still fun and maintained well.
This is a nice little place tucked away. It's soothing, peaceful and quiet. You can't hear any vehicles or the hustle of the city. Has a few hiking trails and a mountain bike trail. Also down the drive is a kayak launch area. The only downside is I wish the trails were better marked with signs or spray paint.
I visited looking for somewhere to hike. There are a few short hiking trails but most trails are more suited to bikes. Many of the pictures posted of this park show the beautiful views by the river, but most of the park is coastal pine forest.
Fantastic bike park. Very well signposted trails with multiple loops in case you want to cut your ride short. It's been very wet recently but the trails were almost completely dry. Trails are very fun and flowy, not much elevation change. Beautiful woodland and wetland scenery. We did almost ten miles total.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
