Confirmed from Buck Creek State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“It’s a great spot for a peaceful getawaywe’re already looking forward to coming back!”

Amazing place to walk, chill, run, picnic, relax. So many trails and spots to be. Fun little beach, great views of the reservoir and dam, more trails than you explore in a day. Seems like great fun with a bike. Peaceful, lots of birds, walkers, families. Interesting 70s vibe.

We had a wonderful stay at the Buck Creek cabins! The setting is beautiful and feels very private, especially with the screened-in porch. The cabin was clean, the heat worked great, and it was the perfect "home base" for enjoying the lake and trails.

This is a lovely state park with lots of camping and water activities. The reservoir was filled with boats and watercraft of all sorts. We had a little campsite and just did a bit of hiking and camping. Many of the sites are pretty close together, which was fine for us but maybe not for everyone.

One of the cleanest state parks I've been to. There's so much to find to do. Besides beach and boating areas, there are trails, several playgrounds on each side of the lake in different areas, there's camping, axe throwing, shuffle board, deer targets, several picnic areas.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“She was concerned that they might have to order a part and might not be able to fix it so she sent a maintenance crew to set up portable air conditioners just in case.”
