Confirmed from Buford Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering a baseball field and a skateboarding area, plus a playground with swings and slides.
What runners say about Buford Park
“The playground is well-maintained, has a good amount of safe mulch on the ground, and the equipment is in good shape.”
“I hope the City chooses to maintain the beautiful wooden playground instead of installing some plastic monstrosity down the road.”
We love this park! It is really big! The size makes it great for exercising via running or walking. The playground looks massive in size. We loved that the bathrooms are open to the public, clean, and well maintained. I saw grilling stations that would be good for a get together.
Went there with my dog today and really enjoyed the place beautiful and fun park. Since I don’t have kids, I took my dog and she had fun running up and down the stairs, across the multiple bridges, going down some of the slides. We play this game called Find Me and this place was perfect to play in.
Beautifully upkept park with walking trails, gazebos, picnic areas, a lake and even some cute ducks and turtles.
What a fantastic park! Brings back memories of another similar super playground I helped build as a child in Pittsburgh, PA. The playground is well-maintained, has a good amount of safe mulch on the ground, and the equipment is in good shape.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
