We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Burma Road Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Burma Road Trail
“Great views of Catalina and tons of wildlife.”
Really amazing trail to either hike or mountain bike on. Great views of Catalina and tons of wildlife. Beware that RPV is trying to limit public access to this public trail by removing on-street parking, but if you park along Crest Road you can park for free, you just have to walk a little further.
I have visited this trail at different points throughout the year and Spring may be the best. The flowers are so bright and the scents are so fresh and delightful.
Beautiful trails with beautiful views. Wind your way through the hills wondering how anyone could afford the massive houses along the trail sides. Shade is sparse, but there's enough of it to take breaks under. If you're lucky enough, you might see a herd of about a hundred goats grazing on a hillside.
Trail conditions & character
“Great area for mountain biking and exploring different ocean views with paths that are hugged by trees and bushes to help keep you cool along the way.”
