We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Burns Hill yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Burns Hill
Nice, simple hike. No steep hills, 20-30 minutes to the top of the hill. Nice view of surrounding region at top. Mostly a wooded path, but there are a few meadows to cross. A good trail overall.
Beautiful westerly views to pack monadnock area from the summit. The trails are well marked and you can access hitchiner town forest via mullen road off Osgood or Badger Hill Drive. Quick hike up from the main parking lot, maybe 20 to 30 minutes. One of the better hikes in Milford.
Great little trail for kids. Not too steap to the summit and a lovely view.
