We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Buzzard Gulch Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Buzzard Gulch Trails
What a treat right there in Montrose. Amazing mountain biking trails and a cool little stop along the way showing off all the old mining equipment.
Since it is a few minutes from Montrose, it is a good way to get out of town for a walk when time is limited, and it has several optional loops to adjust the length to fit one's schedule and ability.
Easy access and you can walk for an hour or three. Once your up there's not a lot of up and down. Just becareful because trail is open for bikes, walkers and horses.
Great for trail running and gentler mountain biking. I wish dog owners would be more conscientious with picking up after their dogs.
