We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of California aqueduct bikeway yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about California aqueduct bikeway
“This is an easy trail and beginners friendly.”
This is an easy trail and beginners friendly. Just park your car at the open area, cross the gate and start walking. You could walk all the way till the reservoir and then return. You can decide how long further you want to walk and return. The gate to the reservoir And return to the gate is around 6 miles.
Great for fishing, walking, and biking. Please bring water. Because there is no water or bathroom on the route. Checkpoint #1 or 2 is really windy. There is early morning traffic and after noon traffic. If you are on the grant line road. There is an area for parking on the grant line.
Great easy walk. A little windy but was a great local easy hike for Tracy residents.
