Confirmed from Camel's Hump Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park offering a paved trail and benches, plus scenic views of a valley and river.
What runners say about Camel's Hump Park
“explored just a little but enjoyed the scenic overview of the Mississippi River & the walking trails.”
“Absolutely amazing place for the sunset, quiet, chill, and peaceful as well.”
Nice views of CG snd SPP. Benches along paved portion of trail. A dirt trail begins where the pavement ends. Fun little hike.
This is a great little park with a nice overlook of Highway 10. It’s not a real long hike to go through there if you stick to the cement pathways, but there are also dirt and older pathways that you can walk around on.
Very cool lookout over Cottage Grove. Nice short trail. Informational plaques. Beautiful view.
Did not expect a park registered on Google Map for a Walking Trail and Scenic Views. Lots of green trees and plants. An escape from the sunny humid weather with lots of shades and benches in an exclusive neighborhood in Cottage Grove, MN.

- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
