Confirmed from Campbell Lakes Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Campbell Lakes Preserve
“Really beautiful lakes that can be fished in and house a variety of fish.”
“Beautiful quiet place to walk, there is some erosion on the trails.”
This is a fishing park and that's about it. We visit often simply because it's a close area to fish. Personally, I only do ok fishing here. I have caught a decent amount of little bluegill there and a couple of little bass. Now I know I've heard of others catching some larger bass, northern pike, and catfish.
This is a fishing review the place is really nice if you just want to go hiking. They do not stock it any more and it is now one of the great parks so you do need a great parks permit to go here. I have caught some bass here but the biggest was around 2 pounds so pretty small.
Really nice, quaint fishing lake. I wish there was something other than rock to walk on (maybe crushed limestone). Other than that I really enjoyed the place!
Really beautiful lakes that can be fished in and house a variety of fish. Three of the lakes are fairly short walks from the parking lot.
