Confirmed from Campus Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Campus Woods
“First time walking the trail and it was after the rain so muddy but so peaceful!”
First time walking the trail and it was after the rain so muddy but so peaceful! My dog was happy
Such a wonderful find! The trail in spring is MAGICAL— so well, maintained, peaceful, and educational! And, good for ESU to be maintaining such special places. The trail head was not marked, but not hard to find— as the other review said— just follow the path along the field.
The Campus woods trail is really cool! The trail and foliage are just amazing. It is a little hard to find and not well labeled. Just keep going North to the trees and look for the rock/dirt trail. Its kind of hidden in the trees and hard to find if you have never been there before.
Super chill trail! Great one for people dipping their toes into singletrack riding. It's a popular place to walk dogs!

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
