Confirmed from Canal Park - Pickaway County Park District's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed park offering a mix of trails, playground equipment, grassy spots, wildlife and a river.
What runners say about Canal Park - Pickaway County Park District
“Park is always clean and trails are always well maintained.”
“Beautiful in every season great place to go walk around”
Cool new park to take the kids to. It has zip lines and slides among other things. There are also trails to walk. Nice place.
Very well maintained trail. Flat, easy walk. Loads of birds, crickets, grasshoppers, and dragonflies. Much if it is in the sun so don't forget your sunscreen. From the parking lot, take the Wetlands Trail, merge onto Richards River Trail, then continue the loop on the Towpath Trail back to the parking lot.
A good amount of history to this park. Trails are mowed grass, gravel and unimproved trails in the wetlands. Some nice views along the old canal and Scioto River and also lots of farmland.
Park is always clean and trails are always well maintained. It's never too crowded. Occasionally you'll see bald eagles in the area. Highly recommend 👌
