Confirmed from Carpenter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Carpenter Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (271 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“The athletic courts are extremely well maintained as well as the open spaces.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“A Breath of Fresh Air: [Park Name] is a Walker's Delight Carpenter park truly stands out as an exceptional destination for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and invigorating walk.”

Nice place to walk. The only thing that I don't like is on the park rules sign it says, no dogs! And people disrespect and bring them anyhow when there is a dog park down the street.

★★★★★ — K , May 2025

This park is always a great one to visit. The athletic courts are extremely well maintained as well as the open spaces. The trail along the outside is a convenient 1 mile loop making exercise easier. Beautiful mature trees, while still being open to play sports and run on the grass.

★★★★★ — Kelsie , Jun 2020

Lots of different activities for the whole family. There are basketball courts, a nice kids playground, picnic tables and LOTS of walking/running. There are also geocaches in numerous places. A short walk away are ballfields. All in all, a great place for the family.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 3 mentions

“Nice little park with a walkins/running circuit, ball-diamond, volleyball nets, soccer fields, small playground, pavillion, and restrooms.”
