Confirmed from Carriage Hills Estates Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Carriage Hill Estate Park in Sun Prairie is an awesome place for snow sledding. The hills are for kids but still fun enough for adults. Plenty of open space, beautiful winter scenery, and a peaceful atmosphere make it a great family outing after fresh snowfall.

Definitely one of the higher grade parks in Sun Prairie, complete with off street parking lot, multiple playground sets, basketball and volleyball courts, ponds, walking trail, shelter with restrooms open May through October and more. There’s plenty to keep kids of all ages busy here for quite a while.

★★★★★ — Joshua , May 2023

Great path around the lake with many feeder paths. Nice newer playground equipment. Terrific sled hill. Nice shelter. And for those that want to sit and look at the pond. Many seats along path.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“Lots of playground equipment, nice bike path, a pond with a bridge, bathrooms, volley ball soccer field, baseball, sledding hill, benches everywhere.”
