Confirmed from Catamaran Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with facilities for soccer, basketball, tennis, and volleyball, plus a playground.
What runners say about Catamaran Park
“Nice fields, view and bathrooms are clean for a park.”
“all of this adjacent to waterways makes it quite picturesque especially on a sunny day.”
A beautiful family friendly park for scenic evening stroll. The kids play area safe and secure with soft flooring to prevent injuries. The track and field is a great place for workout.
Beautiful area and a great open park with something for everyone. This park has a everything, a full swing set and seesaw for kids, tennis courts, a basketball court, a large open field for soccer and a running track around it.
Best outdoor courts in Foster City with decent pick up. Well lit at night. Find pick-up here on weekend morning or Tues-Thurs at night. Vast soccer fields and an excellent view. According to my smartwatch, the track on the soccer field is about 5 laps per mile.
Catamaran Park is a great park for people of any age. I enjoy going there to play basketball and soccer, as well as run on the tracks. Not only that, but you can also see some planes that land at KSFO Airport, and I believe for plane lovers, you can take proficient photos with a good camera!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
