Confirmed from Causeway Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park providing a beach and a public restroom, along with views and fishing.
What runners say about Causeway Community Park
“A beautiful place to enjoy the view and beach.”
My first time here at Causeway Community Park in Dunedin, FL. I highly recommend visiting. You can park anywhere facing north or south towards the sun and along this very thin strip of beach and there is no charge to park as it is a community state park. Posted hours are from 5am-11pm.
Nice place to watch the sunset, walk the dogs, fishing, Kayaking, or just enjoy nature.
Small park you can walk to from causeway. It's not a very big park. It has signs up you can read about the sea birds. It is a nice area to take a quick view.
Nice place to watch the sunset and walk around the beach plus it's free
Trail conditions & character
“I never get tired of this spectacular view and sunsets!”
“On the weekends, parking fills up quickly and you do get a lot of people blaring music out of their cars because you sit next to or very near your car.”
“I love that people could bring their dogs with too but you can only walk with them on the shared bike path along the highway, otherwise known as the Causeway Boulevard.”
“No bathrooms I know of but they do have garbage cans.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
