Confirmed from Celery Flats Historic Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

We love riding our bikes here! Nice place to have a picnic or take a break from enjoying the nearby trails. There are plenty of tables and chairs and the bathrooms are very clean and well kept. Lots of events going on throughout the year with live music, movies, and food trucks. We love going to Fridays at the Flats!

A beautiful park with historic buildings and a pond and a great place for fall graduation and family pictures! You can still use the walking trails and they are working on clean up. The bathrooms are clean, and they have a great picnic area.

Such a really neat place to check out if you like going outdoors. They have a public bathroom area right where you park, they also have a bike station with tools right by. They have paved trails for bikers, they also have a bird sanctuary that you could check out but no bikes aloud.

Between the bike trail and flats themselves, this is a great local park. There are activities scheduled during the summer, including plays at the barn and summer movie events. It's well maintained by Portage Parks. There are no playgrounds. Great for pictures.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 8 mentions

“Wish that the Portage District Library would configure their WiFi to accept the security of a VPN for the safety of the residents Internet use.”
