Confirmed from Centennial Cone Park West Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Centennial Cone Park West Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (368 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“Gorgeous ride through meadows, woods, rocks and ledges.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Multiple options for both loops of shaded trails or sunny exposed trails.”

This is one of one of my favorite trails to get away from Denver. The beauty here is untouched, I could get lost in my thoughts here every time. This trail changes its beauty for each season. So, check the weather and bring plenty of gear, water, and snacks.

Great quiet place for hikes and biking! Alternate weekend use: even bike, odd hike. Not very crowded and parking right next to the trail. It does wind through some private property and must stay on track there.

★★★★★ — Noah , Sep 2017

Empty on a June Friday 3. Nice view and bathrooms. Not far from 6 up steep but paved roads. Picture of dirt road is the first part of the hiking trail not the road you drive up. I mountain biked it. As a trail, I would say its a very bikeable hiking trail, but isn't a "mountain biking" trail with berms and stuff.

★★★★☆ — Jared , Jun 2025

Love this spot. One of my favorite locations to go hiking. It is smart to plan ahead. Trails in this area will split weekends to provide one day for hiking and horseback riding, and another day for bike riding.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
