Confirmed from Centennial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Centennial Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (399 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Many walking paths around a beautiful lake with beautiful sunsets.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Only down faults are that there is no shade at all and it's always windy (which actually can be nice considering the no shaded areas).”

Really beautiful park for kids and dogs to play. There’s an insanely large field for dogs to play catch and run around. Lots of good walking sidewalks too! 2 sets of backgrounds and lots of climbing activities for kids. One of the best parks in North Liberty. Beautifully maintained and clean.

Good jogging trail, open space and more attractions are being added. A big kid and toddler playground. A very unique rock climbing area makes this a fun trip.

★★★★★ — Brandon , Apr 2022

This park has something for almost any age. From the children's playground area, to the rock climbing area for those a bit older, and lots of open grass areas for other outdoor activities.

★★★★★ — Jordan , Apr 2026

This new park is really fun and has some great features. It would be better with some added shade and benches . The xylophone has incorrectly placed bars. The 2nd green and yellow bars should be flipped to make it in the order of the rainbow ( red orange yellow green blue indigo violet) and being in the wrong spot…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
