Confirmed from Squire Point Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

Well groomed trails through a nice wooded area overlooking Coralville Reservoir. There are some hills as well as workout equipment / stations along the trail. Dog friendly. Can be muddy at times. Parking lots is adequately sized as well.

★★★★☆ — Tom , Jan 2024

It's a nice, easy hike. It's well shaded, but definitely bring bug spray. It didn't take me very long, maybe about an hour, although I walked pretty slow. If you want a quick afternoon hike this is the one for you.

★★★★☆ — Henry , Jun 2024

Beautiful views along this free trail. ⚠️ You need to be sure-footed as this is a 'real' trail with roots sticking up, uneven places, and muddy/slippery if there has been any moisture. Parking is near the start/end of the trail.

★★★★★ — Mitch , Jan 2023

Great trails with beautiful views of the lake year round! In the warmer months we go creek stomping along the tributaries too

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
