Also known as the Gaylord Donnelley Trail, there are great views of the limestone cliffs bordering the I&M canal. The trail south of the 2nd street entrance leads to the Lincoln landing monument and Gaylord building in downtown Lockport.
Great trail to run, walk or bike. Combination of gravel and asphalt. Stick to the asphalt in wet weather, the gravel trail does soften in wet weather.
Home of Kelsey Falls. Watch yourself when you approach the transition over the railroad tracks. The grass and gravel is deceptively loose in spots and if you are running or riding your bike it gets slick. Portapotties located in the parking lot. It's a great place to take a break or start/stop a run or ride.
Walked from Heritage Village in Lockport down the trail to Division St. Minimal hills, terrain was mostly flat and paved or solid gravel. Strollers, bicycles, walker, runners and friend friendly. Also educational as you walk and see different points of interest.
