Confirmed from Central Bark Dog Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with a walking path and separate areas for large and small dogs.
What runners say about Central Bark Dog Park
“My complaint is that on the little dog side, the walking path is cut off half way, so you can't walk around with your dog like you can on the large dog side.”
Absolutely lovely. Good shade, water available, walking track, sweet pups, but sometimes not unlocked in the mornings on time.
I wasn’t expecting to like this park but the dogs love it. I have one that likes running on grass and one that prefers walks. Since there is a paved portion, the one who likes walks basically walked herself. Very pretty and well maintained.
It's a really nice park for both large and small dogs. I appreciate that they have several water sources for the dogs to drink from or get cleaned. There are park benches to sit and relax while your dogs play.
Lovely park! Incredible natural shade given the amount of mature trees Whitehall included in the thoughtful design of this year old park. Water pump, hose, bags and plenty of beautiful space for large or small to romp. Sheltered areas with benches. So close to Bexley and East Enders. Take your fur baby today!
Trail conditions & character
“Space/amenities: - There are individual spaces for small dogs (25 pounds and under) and large dogs (over 25 pounds) - water pumps that work (finally!”
“Plenty of water fountains for your fur babies and plenty of room to run on both the large and small dog sides.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
