Confirmed from Chagrin River Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Seasonal wetlands, a pedestrian bridge & a network of trails highlight this wildlife-rich park.

“Beautiful park and creek, the only downside for me is that despite the signs saying no dogs off the leash, they're severely dogs walking around off the leash.”

“The trails are mainly loose gravel and are easy walking; there are no major Hills.”

This is certainly one of the more well rounded city parks I’ve ever been to. Teaming with wild life you can hear a plethora of birds. Bird houses are dotted throughout the park. But also there’s signs of turtles, active fishing was taking place even in February, and it seems like a deer haven.

This park has become one of my favorites for any season. In colder months you can hand feed the birds & even deer on occasion. In warmer months the park is a great spot for walking, fishing, bird watching or enjoying a picnic.

Has nice very trails. Great for walking. Most trails are paved but some our crushed gravel. Still very easy to walk. The river is pretty and easily accessible. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. There are a few playgrounds and pavilions for events with children. I enjoyed our visit there.

We love chagrin River Park. It's really a great place for a nice walk and the river is so pretty. There's some great trails but there aren't as many as some of the metroparks around. In the summer you can walk through the river and it has a playground the kids love.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
