Confirmed from Champ Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a well-maintained figure-eight trail that's popular for hiking.
What runners say about Champ Trails
“Beautiful wild meadow trail on one side of the park, best in spring or in fall during the butterfly migration.”
“The trials are tree lined, with the possibility of seeing deer, birds and such.”
“Very peaceful and surprisingly large park tucked behind a subdivision.”
Beautiful hike on this fall day. Not a difficult hike. Very scenic. We were thankful the falling leaves had covered the trail making it walkable. It had rained a couple days before.
Nice place for a hike. Some parts of the trail are challenging and not stroller friendly 😉
Wilderness park. No bathrooms, no water, no paved trails. Trails are steep in places. Great place to be in the woods without having to leave the city. Rarely see other humans, but lots of birds, squirrel and deer. You may spot the occasional coyote or raccoon, but tracks for both are common.
Nice location, plenty of wildlife, woodpeckers, deer, skunks, etc. Usually have the place to myself. Great for letting your dogs run free (might get wet & dirty, though!) For exercise, several large uphills and downhills to target your leg muscles. Free and convenient.
