Confirmed from Chapel Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground and picnic shelter, as well as a pond for catch-and-release fishing.
What runners say about Chapel Lake Park
“The lake is clean and you can fish for Bass or Blue Gill.”
“Beautiful, clean, and peaceful park.”
“Nice and quiet, everybody I’ve met has been so respectful and outgoing.”
Very clean and quiet park. My daughter loved running around and seeing the wild life. Tho I believe her favorite part was the little creek. There is also swings by the lake to enjoy the view of the water.
This is a wonderful park tucked back up in the Crystal Springs subdivision in Jeff as you can see in the photos. Ample parking, huge open fields for kites or pick games of football or soccer, paved jogging/walking track. Benches and boulders are set along the side here and there for chatting with friends.
Excellent place to exercise, walk, walk our pets and fishing. Here we see the black bass in spawn season in their nests in pairs, something really impressive, so we have to practice catch and release so that we can better enjoy fishing.
One of our favorite parks in the area. -Walking path around lake, and up the hill loops back to the lower parking lot - Public bathrooms - Covered pavilion w/ picnic tables - Seating along paths and over looking lake - Fishing lake - Many parking spots - Playground and obstacle course - Bike repair station

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
