Confirmed from Chateau Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (262 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 13 mentions

“Very quiet, clean, and maintained park located conveniently in the neighborhood for many years now.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“It has a wheelchair accessible ramp, some spinning chairs, an inclusive swingset, and extra shade.”

great park, love the walking trail. It's always clean, well kept, with people using it. There's a pairings area, picnic tables, large grass field, walking trail, bathrooms, and mature trees.

★★★★★ — Squamation , May 2022

The best thing about this park is that it is never crowded. There is so much grass for the kids to run. There is a picnic area & bathrooms right by the playground.

★★★★★ — Rebeca , May 2019

This park has been beautifully updated. It has a wheelchair accessible ramp, some spinning chairs, an inclusive swingset, and extra shade. Unfortunately, there’s no longer a dinosaur slide here, but there are so many other activities. I also love the circular walking path with mature trees and covered pavilion area.

★★★★★ — Carolyn , Jun 2025

Great park with lots of grass for sports practices. Including 2 basketball hoops, a chain link baseball backstop and lots of grass for soccer practices . A good size play ground and shelter that can be rented out. Good for kids around 8 or 9 years of age and under.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
