We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Cherry creek trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Cherry creek trail
Es agradable venir a caminar, correr, bicicleta y contemplar el río que corre a un lado del trail
Great trail for running, walking and biking with great views along the way. Would not, however, use it when it's dark out.
The Cherry creek Trail has been an artery for cycling commuters for years, for a good rider it takes about an hour to get downtown from 9 mile station. That’s 2 hours of cardio a day and no gasoline bill. I grew up using that trail, I’m not sure if it’s condition today, but I think fondly of this trail.
If you plan to go hiking in the mountains but your not an athlete to this trail first

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
