Wow this trail is something else. When I got there, I couldn’t believe there was such a little escape so close in the city. Glad I found it on Google, I’m surprised it’s not on AllTrails? Went with my girl and we had an awesome hike. I thought I saw a deer or an elk? I could be wrong.
Now let me tell you, this trail is not for the faint of heart. In order to even access the trail you will need to slip into a tight fit between two poles. Bear crawling is likely, particularly when the 0.5" of heavy snow berate the city.
What a gem, perfect Denver hike with my dog Everyone was really friendly on the trail too. Even after all the rain this week, the trail was in great shape with minimal mud. No boots needed, hiking shoes are fine for the summer.
I’ve been dreaming of making it to this trail for years…unfortunately I live 700+ miles away. For now, I will have to keep dreaming. I cannot wait for the day that I get to see these legendary vistas with my own two eyes.
