Confirmed from Chestnut ridge trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Chestnut ridge trailhead
“Beautiful trail, super muddy-but that's the charm, it is not that difficult of a hike but the muddy terrain makes it a little difficult to walk.”
Great park. Love to walk here. Well maintained. Plenty of trails to choose from as well as shelters to hold events.
Beautiful trail, super muddy-but that's the charm, it is not that difficult of a hike but the muddy terrain makes it a little difficult to walk. Not too crowded until It connects to the eternal flames hike which is beautiful as well and more people can be found there as people just go there for the flame.
Did the Orienteering and Boy Scout Trails with a side quest to The Eternal Flame Falls. Parking lot had 5 other cars at 6am but I didn't see anyone else on the trails. Very muddy still mid May. Wear the right boots and pants
Nice hiking with a number of trails. It's one of those wonderful parks built during the Roosevelt administration's efforts to deal with the depression era unemployment.
