Confirmed from Chestnut Square Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Chestnut Square Park
“Beautiful grounds, well maintained, plenty of space for activities and eating, tennis courts looked like they were modified for pickleball, and bathrooms were clean.”

It's a small nice park, good playground for children, small trail, a lake in the middle of the trail and fence around it. Also there's nice sport area for playing football, tennis and volleyball.
My wife and I took our 3 kiddos and my mom to an event at Chestnust Square Park for an event. My mother, who is on oxygen and using a walker was sitting a few feet away from us. Two young kids made an obvious attempt at taking her purse. I stopped them and reported what had happened on our way out.
The best park ever. Love going here and watching our kids flag football and watching others have fun playing sand volleyball and tennis and jogging and exercising, such a great atmosphere
Great place to go for a walk as well has providing volleyball, soccer, and tennis courts. Typically well lit and there seems to always be someone there

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
