Confirmed from Chewacla State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

My family and I have been going here the last few weeks. We enjoy going to take different hiking trails. The waterfall is beautiful. The trails are fun. They have glamping, cabins, RV hook ups, and places to put up a tent, but we have never rented a place. The staff are always very kind.

So beautiful, came out when it hasn't rained a bit, first week of cool weather. Beautiful hiking trails. They're currently working on a structure by the waterfall trail, but you can enjoy a longer hike and still get to the falls. We liked down from the falls through the rocks and had a blast. Epic playground.

The park was amazing! There was so much to do, and our kids had a blast! Riding bikes, hiking, seeing a waterfall, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the scenery! We have been there twice, and we will be going back. So far, it is our favorite place for camping!

We stayed a couple nights in our RV. The sites are ample, level and have all utilities including wifi that's strong enough for our TVs to work which hasn't been the case for us often. The restrooms are old and dinky but the hot water is great. The walking trails are great.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
