Confirmed from Children's Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing park with playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, plus a pond.

“I've never seen that before, folks please clean up after yourselves.”
“Nice grassy area and beautiful blooming trees in the spring Update: visited this location in the fall and really enjoyed the foliage.”
“2 Lovely shaded playground climbing structures (for younger children and older children) plus a shaded swing area.”

I absolutely love this park. It's so clean and quiet. There are so many things you can do with your kids. There's a basketball court, a small baseball field, a handball court, trails to walk out ride bikes and scooters. The playground area is very well shaded so kids can enjoy play time in a nice cool environment.
Great park for the whole family. I run in this park every morning. The paved trail (about one mile) around the park is beautiful, mostly shady, and fairly flat. I enjoy the company of a lot of dog walkers (almost all dogs on leashes) as well as some small wildlife.

Great park to spend the evening with family and for children and for walking a pet. Beautiful lake, large playground, and a scenic path through the forest. This resort also includes a basketball court, baseball field, and tennis court.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
